5 months old!

These are just a few pictures I've snapped the last few days. Jonas has great hair. I can comb it all different ways. Its usually pretty humorous when he wakes up in the morning. I took a picture of him sleeping in his church clothes. I'll get a front picture of that outfit later. Its one of my favorites for this Christmas! Ok, the last picture...The hat and gloves are my $ .50 deal at Kohls at the end of the season!!! Can you believe it! I was visiting my sister in MI and found it at her Kohls. I've been longing for the day for him to wear them. hee hee!

Sarah~I was looking at the pictures of Jonas before I read what you wrote and when I saw the hat and gloves I said, "Ah, those are so cute!" and thought those must have cost a pretty $$$ but way to go on the $.50 deal! I love Khols!

You must be a great bargain shopper! 50 cents for the hat and gloves? Very cute indeed. I just read your response about the lowfat desserts and the tendinitis. I am sorry for not responding sooner to it. I need to be better about checking. This is the time of year I receive all kinds of cookies and candies from my piano students and good friends. I have to force myself to have just a little bit of the dessert and give the rest away. Kelly was laughing at me a few days ago because I was commenting on exercising and eating right. I had to be so careful when I was pregnant because I had Gestational Diabetes. I had absolutely none of the risks and I was shocked when I was diagnosed. It ended up being great in the long run because I was forced to eat really healthy foods and I had to exercise whether I wanted to or not. I learned a lot about keeping my blood sugars in check and I was able to do that with diet and exercise alone. I have a 60% chance of developing the condition again in future pregnancies so I figure that I should try to eat right all along than go off of the deep end. As a mom, you would do anything, no matter how difficult, to have a healthy baby.
I do like desserts but for now the sugar-free jello and light Cool Whip aren't too bad (doesn't take the place of chocolate or a good cheesecake). I know that Christmas will be a test of my willpower - there are always so many rich and yummy desserts. Every little bit adds up so when I splurge, I like to plan for it and really enjoy it without beating myself up over it later. It looks like you are careful about eating and exercising because you look super for having a baby a few months ago - either that or you have great genes. Well, enjoy your Thursday - as I look outside right now, we are getting pounded with snow. Yeah! It's about time. Take care.

Rachel,
Good for you for exercising and eating better! We definitely try to eat better on a daily basis but when those desserts come I enjoy them a little too much! When I worked full time in an office setting, I always took desserts to work. I didn't bring them back home. Now, I don't bake quite as much because I don't want it sitting around the house! Your comment is very kind but I have to admit, exercise is not a part of my routine at all! I am blessed with good genes! I do need to exercise though, maybe a new year's resolution. Again! :-)
