I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Did you reflect on God's Amazing Grace in your life?
This past week Joe and I went to a production called The Living Gallery. Framed sacred art is brought to life on stage, with live models, while music is being performed. In-between the art, a play is being performed. The play was brought to us in modern day about a Father's love. As children on this earth, we are not here just to live up to our parents standards and strive to please them. God has put them here to help guide us, but we should be striving to please our heavenly Father in all we do. A few of the art pieces were: The Shadow of Death, The Last Supper, Jesus washing Peter's feet, The Fall of Christ under the Cross, The Body of Christ Prepared for Burial and at the end, The Ascension Window (stained glass). It was a wonderful time to focus on the amazing LOVE we have been shown. I needed this time, as well as Easter Sunday to be a reminder of my Wonder Saviour. It was so refreshing to sit at this production and Easter Sunday's service, after the week I had before with Jonas being so unpredictable. (As of this morning, all 4 of Jonas' top middle teeth are poking through. He's going to look so different in the next month!)
We woke up Easter morning to a chilling 26 degrees. I think children across the U.S. had their Easter outfits "ruined" with sweaters and winter coats! I went to church with my parents and family that was visiting. Aunt Barb and Doc were leaving that afternoon to fly home. They had spent the weekend in Charleston with my folks, so we didn't get to see them much. It was a whirlwind of a day. At 4 p.m. the Barker family came to our home for Easter dinner. Everyone pitched in and it was Delicious!
I can't believe its Thursday already. I wanted to post this earlier but work has been very demanding this week and Charter outages have not helped circumstances. I look forward to the weekend with having my husband off of work. We will be helping family settle into a new house, I get a girls night tonight, (woohoo), and we get to enjoy a concert of Brian Free and Assurance Sunday evening at a local church. They sing one of Joe's favorite songs-"For God So Loved the World". This happened to be in the CD player, in the car, when we had to leave Jonas in the NICU. I will always remember listening to this song on the way home, feeling so empty without my baby. It helped me get my focus where it needed to be.
Well here are come pictures of Jonas from this past weekend. Have a great wekeend
